A project by Dr Helen Baxter, University of Glasgow. The focus of this short research project is the influence that resilience practitioners1 (RPs) and emergency responders2 (ERs) can have upon a community’s process of recovery in the aftermath of a natural hazard emergency (NHE).

This is important because a community’s ability to effectively recover from impacts of an NHE have implications for that community’s future resilience and thus its ability to adapt to the effects of climate change and cope with future emergencies events.
